Integrating QLM into an ALM process

We have a product that we would like to license with QLM. However, we have automated the complete build, test and delivery process. From what I understand until this point is that QLM code has to be placed within our own. During development this seems rather intrusive for the developer. We are using Microsoft products, C#, Jenkins, Mercurial, etc.

Do you any suggestions on the best way to combine your system into an ALM. I understand we can use compilation targets and conditional compilation, but is the only option?

  The inclusion of the QLM related code into your application is a one time task. Can you clarify why you believe it is intrusive so that we get a better understanding of your requirements?
