WooCommerse add missing licensekey to customers subscription

We are using WooCommerse for subscriptions.

On one occasion the QLM-server was unavailable (due to some internet connection, not QLM-server). This made so that the Woocommerse could not contact the QLM server and therefore could not generate a key and add it to the subscription item.

Now we have a customer with a subscription running but with no License key connected to it. 

The customer was given a key generated outside woocommerse. 

Is it possible to add this key to the subscription item in Woocommerse?

  As far as I know, there does not seem to be a way inWooCommerce to edit the metadata associated to an order.

  You may want to contact WooCommerce's support to double check that.
