Trial vs Non-Trial isEvaluation Trial vs Subscription
Trying to ensure QLM can do want I want for my Windows Desktop application. I want to offer a trial of say 10 days and I want to be able to detect that this is a trial so that I can do certain things. I also want to offer the Full purchased version, not Trial/Demo anymore, but the "Full" version will have an expiration date of say 1 year. This "Full" version appears to be a QLM "Subscription" mode, not "Permanent". The Subscription license appears to make isEvaluation = True just like the Trial/Demo makes isEvaluation = True. Am I correct that both the Trial and Subscription make isEvaluation = True? If so, what is the best method to detect Trial vs Subscription? Do I need to turn on a feature for Subscription and test for that? How does the license server, assumed hosted by Soraco, know the difference between a Trial request and a subscription request?
I plan on generating a Trial license for each customer (Method 1), and would like to have trials able to be generated both from using your web form and via the QLMLicenseWizard. I will use QLMLicenseWizard and ecommerce integration for the "Full" purchased version.
